Cookie Policy

Last updated: 8 September 2026

This page names every piece of storage this site uses, who sets it and when it appears. It is short because there is not much to list.

Nothing is stored before you choose

This site's own code sets no cookies at all. Before you make a choice in the consent banner, no analytics script and no advertising script is loaded, so no cookie from Google is set either. The tools work fully in that state; declining costs you no functionality.

The two items this site does store are kept in local storage rather than in cookies, which means they are never attached to a network request. They stay on your device.

First-party storage

Both entries below are set by this site, are strictly necessary for the preference they record, and are never transmitted anywhere.

pqt-consent-v1Local storageThis siteStores your analytics and advertising choices and the timestamp of the decision, so the banner does not ask again on every page and so the scripts know whether they may load.Until you clear site data for this site.

Third-party cookies, after consent only

The following are set by Google, not by this site, and only once you have granted the matching category in the banner. Their exact names and lifetimes are determined by Google and can change without any change to this site. If you decline, none of them is ever created, because the script that would create them is never added to the page.

Google describes its use of this data in how Google uses information from sites that use its services. You can turn off personalised advertising in Google Ads Settings.

Changing your decision

Your choice lives in the pqt-consent-v1 key on your own device, and nowhere else. To change it, clear site data for this site in your browser:

  • Chrome and Edge: open site settings from the icon at the left of the address bar, then delete the data for this site.
  • Firefox: open the padlock menu in the address bar, then clear cookies and site data.
  • Safari: Settings, then Privacy, then Manage Website Data, and remove this site.

The stored decision disappears with it, the banner appears again on your next visit, and you can make a different choice. This also removes any Google cookies set while consent was granted, along with your saved theme preference.
