PDF Tools
These tools change the structure or appearance of a PDF: the order of its pages, its page geometry, what is drawn on top of it, and how large the resulting file is. They are grouped into four sets — organising pages, editing content, reducing file size, and converting between PDFs and images.
All of them read the file you choose into the page and build a new PDF there using pdf-lib, with pdfjs-dist drawing the previews. The file is never uploaded for processing. The practical consequence is that the size of document you can handle depends on your own device's memory rather than on an upload limit.

How these tools behave
- Password-protected PDFs cannot be opened by these tools. Remove the password in a PDF reader first.
- Interactive form fields and some annotation types are not preserved when a document is rebuilt.
- Every tool produces a new file for download; the original on your disk is never modified.
Frequently asked questions
Is there a file size limit?
There is no limit imposed by the site. The practical ceiling is your device's available memory, because the whole document is held in the page while it is processed. Very large scanned documents are the first thing to fail, usually by making the tab unresponsive rather than by showing an error.
Why can these tools not open my password-protected file?
The PDF library used here has no decryption support, so an encrypted document cannot be parsed at all. Open it in a PDF reader with the password, save an unprotected copy, and use that.
Will the text stay selectable?
Yes for every tool except the rasterising modes of Compress PDF, which redraw pages as images. Those modes say so before you run them.
