Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By using this site you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the site. No account is created and nothing is signed; using a tool is the acceptance.

2. What the service is

The site provides browser-based tools for working with PDFs, images, video and audio, code and text, along with a set of calculators and converters. They are provided free of charge and on an as-is basis, without any warranty, express or implied, including as to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement.

Almost every tool runs entirely on your own device. That has a practical consequence worth stating in the terms rather than only in the marketing: the capacity of the service is the capacity of your hardware. How large a file you can process, and how fast, depends on your device's memory, processor and browser. A file that is too large for your browser tab will fail or make the tab unresponsive, and no change on the operator's side can prevent that.

A small number of tools download a processing engine from a public CDN on first use, and one tool reads your IP address from this site's own server. Both are described in the privacy policy.

3. Your files and your responsibility

You are responsible for the files and data you process, and for keeping your own copies of them. The tools produce new files for you to download; they cannot recover an original you have overwritten or deleted, because the operator never had a copy of it in the first place. Keep the original until you are satisfied with the output.

You are also responsible for having the right to process what you process, and for complying with the law that applies to you when you do. That includes copyright, confidentiality obligations, and any data protection rules that apply to material containing other people's personal data.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the site:

• for any unlawful purpose, or to process material you have no right to process;
• to produce or alter documents in order to deceive someone, for example by editing a record, an identity document or a financial statement so that it misrepresents the facts;
• to attack, overload or otherwise interfere with the site or the infrastructure it runs on, including through automated scraping that degrades it for others;
• to attempt to gain access to parts of the hosting environment you are not intended to reach.

Because there is no account system, enforcement is limited to technical measures at the hosting level.

5. Accuracy and verification

No warranty is given that any output is correct, complete or suitable for your purpose. Results should be verified before you rely on them. Conversion and compression are lossy in places, text recognition misreads characters, formatting can be lost when a document is rebuilt, and a calculator returns exactly what its formula produces from the numbers you typed.

The calculators are not professional advice. The health and fitness calculators are not medical advice and do not diagnose anything; the financial calculators are not financial advice and are not an offer of credit. The disclaimer sets this out in more detail, along with several specific limitations worth knowing before you rely on a result.

6. Availability and changes to tools

The site is offered without any commitment to uptime. It may be unavailable for maintenance, because of a hosting failure, or without notice for any other reason. Tools may be changed, and tools may be withdrawn.

That is not a theoretical clause. The Lock PDF and Unlock PDF tools were removed because the PDF library the site uses cannot encrypt or decrypt files: both tools failed every time while their pages claimed to apply AES protection. Rather than leave a broken promise in place, the tools were withdrawn and their URLs now redirect. Tools that cannot do what they say will be removed on the same basis.

7. Intellectual property

The site's design, text and code belong to the operator or to the authors of the open-source libraries it uses, each under its own licence. The project's source is published at github.com/vishalanand1997/privaquicktools.

You keep every right in the files you process and in the output you produce. No licence to your content is asked for or granted, and none could usefully be, because the site never receives your content: it is read and written inside your own browser. There is no clause here giving the operator permission to use your material, because there is no material to use.

8. Third-party services

The site depends on services operated by others: Vercel for hosting, Google for analytics and advertising where you have consented, Google Sheets for storing contact form submissions, and public CDNs for the FFmpeg and Tesseract engines. Their terms and their policies apply to their part of the interaction, and their availability is outside the operator's control.

Pages on this site may link to external sites. Those are not controlled by the operator, and no responsibility is taken for their content or their handling of your data.

9. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by the law that applies to you, the operator is not liable for loss or damage arising from your use of the site. That includes lost or corrupted files, an incorrect result relied on without verification, lost profits or business, and any consequential loss. The service is free, is provided as-is, and is not a substitute for professional software with a support commitment where the stakes warrant one.

Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, and nothing here removes any consumer rights you have under mandatory local law.

10. Governing law

The site is operated by an individual rather than by a registered company, and the applicable law is that of the operator's place of residence. Mandatory consumer protection rules in your own country of residence continue to apply to you regardless.

11. Changes to these terms

These terms may be revised as the site changes. The date at the top of this page shows when they were last revised, and continuing to use the site after a revision means the revised terms apply. Questions about them can be sent through the contact form.
